From only 10 universities in the 1950, the number of Arab universities has been doubling every 11 years on average to exceed 250 at present. The rapid growth in the number of new providers of higher education has prodded Arab universities to seek to deliver education programs in a different way, with an increased focus on quality.

Higher Education Accreditation Commission in collaboration with the Hashemite University and the Princeton-based Educational Testing Service (ETS), launched a workshop on Education Programs in Arab Universities at the Hashemite University on April 7th to discuss reforming national education programs in light of national remedial plans and also the main outcomes and findings of UNDP’s regional report Quality Assessment of Programmes in the Field of Education in Arab Universities.
