February 2008 – The UNDP Higher Education Project for the Enhancement of Quality Assurance and Institutional Planning in Arab Universities kicked off external peer review missions to engineering programmes in 19 universities from ten Arab countries in February. All review missions to Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the occupied Palestinian territory, Morocco, Syria, Sudan, and Yemen were completed between February and May 2008. The sole exception to this was the review mission to the Lebanese University, which was postponed due to the situation in Lebanon until June 14-20, 2008.
